Foundations of IMMERSV

Consider there is nothing, a complete lack of everything; this is a space of complete and utter nothingness, zero. Then there was something… depending on your world view this is a moment of creation, or a moment of the most powerful forces known or unknown contributing to the state change from nothing to everything. Zero to One.

Whether you believe the universe was spoken into being or exploded in a single micro-second of an unnamed entity called time, the description is the same: Big Bang, God Spoke etc. all coming from nothing to everything with a sound. That sound was the same as any other sound ever made and meant that molecules were stimulated to move in a particular manner and that manner is a wave. The first soundwave, and I doubt anyone will ever be able to figure out what that moment truly sounded like, but one thing I can be certain of is that that sound was not two-dimensional. It propagated vertically, horizontally and in every other direction that was yet unnamed.

Sound, as we see, has never been 2D, it has always been at least 3D and that is a foundational belief that guides me on the mission that I have now been on for longer than I can put a number on. I know that may sound pretentious and it very much is, but it is how I think about this thing that is now termed immersive or spatial audio.
